How Long Does It Take to Build a Professional Website?

A template site can be live in 1 to 2 weeks. A custom site of 10 to 30 pages usually takes 6 to 12 weeks. Film and 3D add the time the footage needs. The biggest delay is rarely the build: it is waiting on words, photos and decisions.

What sets the timeline

Where the weeks go

  1. Discovery. Your market, your customers and what ranks in your city for what you sell.
  2. Architecture. A page plan designed around real search demand.
  3. Design and build. You review on a staging link. Nothing ships without your sign-off.
  4. SEO foundation. Metadata, a speed pass, Search Console and analytics.
  5. Launch and 90 days. Indexing is monitored and what Google flags is fixed.

These are the 5 steps of our own builds. Design and build is the longest and it is the one your feedback controls.

Can it be done in 2 weeks?

A template site, yes. A custom site with film, no: the work can be rushed but the result shows it. If a launch date is fixed, say so in the brief and the plan is built backwards from it.

How to shorten it

With us the timeline is written into the plan before any work starts, so you know the date before you commit.
